Usually one of my weaknesses is that I don't do enough drawings to inspire the movement of my project. So these last few days have been all about drawing! By looking closely at my photographs I have tried to capture the markings and patterns that are visible. At first i began drawing very technical and creating replica line drawings, but then I realized I need to be much more abstract with the things I am picking out and the sense in which I am drawing them. I then began just taking snippets of the photos and drawings the markings I could see as I knew this would create much more interesting responses. I also began painting the drawings and then thought against it as the colour was irrelevant at this point as a colour palette had not even crossed my mind yet!
