Print Inspiration.

This first piece was created by an artist called Chung-im Kimmieous. I thought it was a gorgeous piece that combines digital print with delicate hand embroidery. I found this very inspirational as I love the intricacy of the simple bold print decorated by beautiful small hand embroidery stitches. The first effect on the eyes is amazing and I think I need to take simplicity more in to consideration in future samples.

Robyn Park is a student studying textile design at Birmingham City university. Specialising in print with a tendency towards embroidery. I really liked this particular sample as it combines print, embroidery and the layering of fabrics. The texture and depth the design creates is a beautiful effect and something id like to replicate myself. The subtle colours and tones make for a much more sophisticated palette, which is something I will be looking into developing in my work.

This is a little sample by a company called EnMart, they design interior surfaces. I was drawn to this as it i really loved the intensness of the deep colours and the contrast of the printed surface with the fine blocky embroidery.
